“I can’t stress enough the positive impact having the treatment summary has had. When you are in the midst of diagnosis and treatment, you’re in shock and are dealing with things day-to-day and your focus is so much on treatment. Having a document which explains and summarises everything that has happened so far, what is planned for the future, why you are on the follow-up programme you’re on, based on risk and the grading of the tumour, is so helpful in making sense of what has happened.
The fact that is also goes to your GP is brilliant as it means that they have all the information as well and you can discuss it together.”
