"I was really reluctant to do this as I didn't think of myself as a support-group type of person; I have my family and friends and didn't think I needed to be with other patients.
However, the Clinical Nurse Specialist asked me to think about whether I had anything to offer others on the course and so I went. I am so glad that I did, as I learned so much from the other patients and the facilitator. It was such an empowering thing to do." (Hope Course)
